Heart rhythm problems usually cause the heart to beat irregularly. This can lead to fatigue, shortness of breath, and even a heart attack. Sometimes strokes can occur because blood clots can form from the blood not being pumped out of the heart correctly. This is a condition that affects lots of people, including celebrities. Dick Cheney

Dick Cheney is the former vice president of the United States and has struggled with heart rhythm problems since he was 37 years old when he had his first heart attack. After experiencing three more heart attacks, he was diagnosed with an abnormal heart rhythm. To keep his heart beat in check, he had a defibrillator surgically implanted inside him.

Howie Mandel 

Comedian, Howie Mandel, currently one of the judges on the reality-contest show, America's Got Talent, suffers from atrial fibrillation (AFib), which causes heart palpitations. Other than feeling fatigued, the comedian suffered from no other symptoms. He needed to have an electrical cardioversion, a procedure where a doctor sends an electrical current to the heart, to level out the rhythm. He also had a procedure to remove the AFiB trigger areas of the heart.

Larry Bird

Heart rhythm problems can also strike the incredibly fit. Larry Bird, who used to play basketball for the Boston Celtics, knows that all too well. During some practices he would experience lightheadedness and an erratic heartbeat. At first, he brushed it off to being dehydrated from practice. However, the condition could not be ignored after he retired. He was diagnosed with AFib and underwent an electrical cardioversion for treatment.

Roger Moore

Roger Moore played James Bond in the 1970's and 1980's. He was diagnosed with bradycardia after he passed out while doing a Broadway play. Bradycardia is when you heart beats less than 40 beats a minute. He was fitted with a pacemaker to help keep the condition under control.

Elton John

Someone else who also had to have a pacemaker was legendary singer Elton John. He had to be fitted for a pacemaker because of an irregular heartbeat, which led to him passing out on a plane.

Miley Cyrus

Child-star turned singer, Miley Cyrus, has a condition called tachycardia, which is a rapid heartbeat. So far, other than being bothersome, the condition has not had to be treated.
